Printing Your Photos

I know it’s not a super exciting topic today, but it is SO essential! Where and how you print your photos can make or break the ideal setup you have planned for your event, whether it be a dinner, a reception, or even a birthday party!

First of all, I deliver all of my photos in high resolution. High resolution is key for your photos printing perfectly, regardless of where. If your photos for whatever reason are not high resolution, talk to me or whoever your photographer is! A good indicator of whether your photos are high resolution is if the digital information says that it’s 5MB or more. (As a disclaimer, I do deliver some photos whose size is much smaller than 5MB, and that’s usually because of the crop I had to put on the photo. It may not be your best one to print!)

One of the biggest questions and topics-of-debate (especially between photographers), is whether or not Costco is a good place to get your photos printed. If you’re asking me? YES! Costco is a great place to have your photos printed UP TO A CERTAIN SIZE. If you’re planning on printing anything larger than 16 x 20, I would highly recommend going to a local print shop, someone who specializes in printing. And before you drop a lot of money on a large print, I would test your print shop on some small, cheaper prints to make sure the colors check out! If you want another option, you can also print through me and I can guarantee the outcome of your photos!

A huge thing to think about when you’re getting your photos printed for your event is whether or not you plan to use them to hang in your home afterward, and how you want them displayed. Now, I am no interior designer, but I have some ideas from Pinterest that I love back linked below for you to check out!
